"How to Manage Stress, Anxiety and Depression."
You will experience an introduction to cognitive therapy and learn fundamental, evidence-based
techniques used to treat stress, anxiety and depression. Based on the assumption that people are not
disturbed by events in their lives but by their belief about those events, cognitive therapy can be
extremely empowering.
You will learn relaxation strategies, mindfulness techniques, ways to reduce negative thinking and
tolerate distress, and methods to increase motivation to pursue your goals. And you’ll also receive a
introductory text on cognitive therapy to keep.
The workshop series is conducted on Saturday mornings over six weeks. Refreshments are provided.

C-network Survey Published |
|
Thursday, 24 December 2009 |
|
Last Updated ( Thursday, 24 December 2009 )
|
The C-network is an ‘announcement-only’ news email list with about 457 members (as of 30 November 2009). With 33 members recorded in 2003, this represents an increase of 1285%. Between 02/05/2007 and 30/11/2009 about 14 members have unsubscribed and an estimated 100 addresses have been removed because the addresses no longer exist.
Membership is confidential and members’ names or email addresses are not visible to other C-network members. Topics promoted on the C-network include viral hepatitis treatment studies and trials, research, information on testing, transmission, prevention, harm-minimisation, complementary therapies, coinfection, chronic-disease self-management, personal stories and the latest events and resources. Currently, the membership list is maintained manually and emails 2 C-network Survey 2009 - Hepatitis Council of Queensland sent using Microsoft Outlook. All C-network posts are archived to the HCQ website at www.hepqld.asn.au. Traffic to the website often experiences a significant but brief increase immediately following a C-network email.
An online C-network survey was developed and promoted in 2008. The survey consisted of 19 questions including multiple choice, ranking, and text-boxes. Responses were received between 24 November and 17 December 2008. There was about a 12% response rate to the survey, with 44 of 380 members replying.
